Star Midnight

How good or bad is the movie "Midnight Express" Who stars in it? is worth buying on DVD?
Is the movie " Midnight Express" any good? What was the plot of this movie? Was it a good movie or bad movie? Who all stars in this movie ? Did it win any awards or anything? How well did it do with movie critics and moviegoers? Is it worth buying on DVD ? Is there any nudity, swearing or violence in it?
It's brutal but worth seeing once. Not necessarily a movie worth spending money on owning - if you want to watch it over and over again I think you may have some psychological issues worth examining.
It has some names you may recognize in Randy Quaid and John Hurt.
It's rated 7.5 on IMDb and has been bashed by some critics for not being accurate to the novel and portraying Turks in a bad light.
It has violence and violent sex in it so it's not exactly a movie for kids. More disturbing than uplifting so be warned.

Midnight Star "Freak-a-zoid"
rising stars and midnight nation hardcovers?
I went into a forbidden planet store the other day and noticed they were selling hardcover versions of both Midnight Nation and the Rising Stars Compendium by J Michael Straczynski.
On both of them they say volume 1, but when I look on the net it seems to say both these books feature the full series and spin offs.
Anyone know why they are listed as volume 1? Would I own the entire thing if I bought these?
why haven't you asked in the shop ??

A lot of it depends on what sort of touring you want to do. I fall solidly into the “sport touring” demographic. My CBR1000F was actually a pretty decent bike for my needs/interests. A bit too sporty for many people considering a “touring” bike, but if I can’t go into the twisties and have some fun I don’t want to go at all.. I’ll take a little pain for that. >I know there’s a bit of Harley hate here, but so far I’ve looked at touring line (Ultra Classic or Road King) IMO the downside to the Harleys is motor and cost. Some people love their motors though, so that’s subjective. They are on the expensive side, even used.. but the 2 bikes you mentioned that I like – BMW R1200 and the Honda Goldwing – are expensive as well. I did one 2500-ish mile trip on a [Harley Street 2 up with my wife.. It didn’t handle well enough to sell me on the bike and I found the motor underpowered. Some people seem to love them for the exact same reasons I don’t. >Goldwing and several large metric cruisers (Venture, Road Star Midnight, VTX, & Interstate) The new Goldwings, GL1800′s, are hard to beat. Exactly what I’d want for long distance 2 up riding. I see one in my future. Handle nicely, wonderful motor, extremely comfortable for long trips right out of the dealership. I have also ridden the Roadstar and both VTX’s. Nothing wrong with either of them but the Goldwing is the clear winner here, for me anyway. I rode a BMW R1200GSA a few weeks ago, that’s an awesome bike too.. I don’t know how much faith I have in BMW’s many electronic boxes and tech gizmos. I expect cost of ownership for the BMW is high. They have had some final drive failures and fork failures that concern me.. I loved the R1200 when I rode it, but I’d have ot think on BMW for a long time before I picked one up. I haven’t done the research so I can’t say for sure what my feeling is on their reliability. >If anyone does/has done some long distance touring, I’d be interested to hear what you ride, or perhaps what your dream tourer would be. My goal is to be able to comfortably do 500-700 miles a day. At the moment I ride a KTM 400 R/XC and a 1978 Honda Goldwing. I had a CBR1000F until I crashed it last month. I have done long distance trips, multiple days over 500+ miles, on both Hondas. IMO most of it is the seat. Almost any bike can be made comfortable if you spend enough money on the seat. I’m a big fan of [Russell They are expensive but your butt will thank you. The guy who started Russell day long sold the company and his sons both have their own businesses making custom seats as well. Never dealt with either of them but I have heard the quality/construction is comparable to what their dad made. [Bill Mayer [Rick Mayer Ok, so that wound up being really long. The End.
It would be fair to say that I am a “terminal nit-picker” and that I over analyze everything to some extent. I am constantly researching, or tweaking it (the page) to make it excel and I want it to be the absolute best it can be.
I don't want to be #2 and have to constantly try harder, I want to be at least #1.5 and just have a little ways to go … It could be me (paranoid) I commented on three sites last night and not one, not ONE, allowed my comments to post or to stand. I guess they track me back, look around, and then think … nut-job or some other expletive. But it is starting to make me wonder if therapy isn't an option?
No, I am not on Oprah, I am shooting for it. It is fairly apparent, that the million visitor mark will be achieved at this point in time, and before March. Using our daily average count, it should happen in just 32 more days, in february.
So I have to assign a new goal, Oprah seems to be it, it is either that or shoot for 2 million or win the Clearing House Sweepstakes one of the two.
Dr. Phil isn't in the works, and I could not star in Midnight Cowboy because I go to bed so early, so I am setting my sights on afternoon TV.
Like my grandmother used to say, “Shoot for the moon Donnie, if you don't hit it and miss, you will still have all the stars thrown in.”
Thanks for checking in …]]>
