i have a 05 heritage softail with screaming eagle 2 and fuel ejection was programmed for eagles but im changing to vance and hines big shots. Do you think fuel injection will need adjusting?
if these are a bit more free-er flowing than the s/e2's, u might. but before u shell out the coin for another remap, try the map as is. if there's no popping or backfiring, u'll be good as is. if it does start popping on decel, then u should have the map tweeked just a bit.

Sorry about youre brother, motor cycles are a fun, thrilling way to experience freedom, they also are very dangerous, not only are they no match for a car but deer also are a problem and dogs. Ive been riding my entire life I love it and I have also crashed a few bikes. But I ride as though Im driving for me and the other guy, youve got to, the worst problem I have noticed is people pulling out in front of you, They dont see you, Their Brains are looking for cars not bikes, they will look both ways and pull right out in front of you, my Harley is loud Thanks to a sweet pair of Screaming Eagle pipes. This helps but I also try to make eye contact with the driver if I cant do that then I assume he doesnt see me. Motor cycles are no match for cars and even the best Trauma teams are helpless in many instances.
you are entitled to your own pathetic opinion. there are plenty of bikes out there that can easily go faster than the V-Rod for less. I like the V-rods styling and engine because it is actually a new approach that harley should have done along time ago. Now, Is it the fastest bike? far from it. But it is a nice bike. Ever heard of the Suzuki Hayabusa? it costs less but pack a massive punch by being able to reach speeds near 200mph for 10k new.
Stopping at a Harley dealer is a joke. If your not dressed like a pirate with the full Harley outfit on or you are without the required tattoos the sales people ignore you. I stopped at two different Harley dealers in the past week. I asked the salesman a question on the XR1200. He looked at me like I had 3 eyes and said. That bike is not a very good seller. He then asked me what jacket size I wore because they were having a “huge sale” on HD branded clothes. I looked at a Ultra and it had Screaming Eagle pipes on it. I asked him why they put the loud pipes on the bike before it was even sold. He said a Harley is not a Harley unless it has Screaming Eagle pipes on it. This is the typical mentality of Harley dealers. I did not even get to the test ride stage at the Harley dealers. I ended up buying a Victory Cross Roads. It is a smooth running bike with no vibration like a Harley. It has more power, better brakes, more storage and best of all – a far superior dealer network. I am glad I did not buy a Harley. I would not have bought a new Harley anyway. My local paper is full of late model Harley’s with low miles and very low prices. Every one of the used Harley’s has a aftermarket exhaust system which I do not want and the used Harley owners do not have the original mufflers. It would be too expensive to buy a new muffler. Most of the Used Harley’s also had some kind of kit to increase the horsepower also. Why buy a new Harley when you can get a low mileage used one cheap?

i was torn between the screaming eagle black pipes and the vance and hines twin rounds slash down pipes that are also flat black… but, i had the chance to hear the difference between both at my local dealership and i have to say that the vance and hines ones are definitely louder and with a deeper growl. personally, i wanna stick with the screamin eagle ones, but the truth is, loud pipes save lives! they have to hear you comin otherwise…
He has served his time and I don't think that he should have to pay for it for the rest of his life. Some people seem to forget that they are not perfect and make mistakes. I say "way to go Michael Vick" time to get on with your life and do some positive things.
