Anyone explain these upgrades?
I'm buying a 5-speed fiero and the mechanic listed the following but I need a brief explanation so I don't annoy him with a thousand questions when I see him:
-New cluth pac
-New cam with lifter (camshaft right. whats a lifter do?)
-3 angle valve job w/ seals
-3.4 stock bore w/ hogged headers (does this mean bored out or bore over?)
-Chrome moly rings
-Inner outer tie rods (helps with suspension/alignment i think?)

-New clutch pack = A new clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing - this must be a manual transmission. The clutch performs the same function as a torque converter in an automatic.
-New cam with lifter (camshaft right. whats a lifter do?) Yes on the cam, lifter lift the valves at the proper time based on the camshaft lobes.
-3 angle valve job w/ seals = This usually entails placing different angles on the valve seat itself, increasing the flow of combustion gases and improving horsepower and torque. A multi angle valve job is the cutting or grinding of 2 or more angles on the seat and valve. The new seals just means they put in new valve seals.
-3.4 stock bore w/ hogged headers (does this mean bored out or bore over?) Stock bore means that the engine had no block damage and therefore didn't need to be bored out when the engine was rebuilt. Its still the same as it was when the engine was new.
-Chrome moly rings = these are just a type of piston rings that were used in the rebuild. Decent ones at that.
-Inner outer tie rods (helps with suspension/alignment i think?) Inner and outer tie rods ends are the parts that control the steering of the car. Look like little ball joints.
