The pipes will fit as long as they are correct for your model. If you decide to go with them, you'll have to have your on board computer re-mapped. The "ci" in the model nomenclature means that it's electronically fuel injected. The on board computer will compensate the air / fuel mixture for variances in altitude, but when you slap on those new pipes it's a whole new ball game.
The new pipes have less back pressure because they have little or no baffling. This allows the exhaust gasses to leave the combustion chamber quicker, allowing the engine to run leaner, which equates to hotter. If you don't have your on board computer re-mapped to run richer, your new pipes will turn blue in short order and there's a good possibility that you'll develop a hot spot in your cylinder.
While you're at it I would highly recommend installing a high flow air filter at the same time. This way you'll have the sound and a few more ponies to boot. The good thing is, you'll only have to have the on board computer re-mapped once.
If you have a lap top computer you can purchase the software for re-mapping your on board computer from your local Harley Davidson dealer. Personally, I'd let them do it because, they usually throw in a dyno test in for free to validate their work.

1999 Harley-Davidson HERITAGE SOFTAIL 14999 in Chino Hill...
Having trouble deciding on exhaust for my heritage softail.?
I have 3 choices and am open to suggestions. My 3 choices are between python venom radius, samson street sweeper, or vance and hines straightshots. Any suggestions?

LOL well-said, and I am the very same way about many other things. (Go see a top-grossing movie? Not on your life! The current TV hit? No way!) But, Harley is different. It's the sound, the history, the “meat” as Kerry said. And, the La-Z-Boy analogy is right on – when we took our first trip to Sturgis in 2006, I rode a Sportster and my husband rode his Heritage Softail Classic. He kept saying what a toughie I was for riding the Sporty on that trip, and I would reply that he was right – HE was riding the recliner on wheels and I was riding a folding chair on casters. BUT – the thing is? That Sporty was made for those twisty roads! It was a blast!

Regarding Harleys…. Whenever the wife & I go to Vegas to visit the mother-in-law, I take advantage of a local motorcycle rental place. There are some awesome rides in the Vegas area. Over the past few years I’ve had a chance to ride several different Harleys. I was underwhelmed by the 1200 Sportster – underpowered and uncomfortable. Surprised by the FatBoy – like driving a 70′s Cadillac. I rather enjoyed the Heritage Softail, I did Death Valley on one. But I would have to agree I find them overpriced. I guess some people like the perceived history/culture around the brand. The bike I tour on now (Honda VFR800) is about 15,000 less than a similarly equipped Harley Softail. Arguably more reliable and definitely cheaper to insure.

I appreciated your input on the color on the Road King on the blog today. I checked and the Road King weights 775 lbs dry & 812 lbs wet. The Heritage Softail Classic weights 718 dry & 765 wet. Both are ratd at 54 mpg on the hwy and 35 mpg in the city. The Heritage has a 5 gal tank & the Road King a 6.
