What parts to buy for a normal gaming computer?
Currently I have a Dell Dimension E310

PCIe (PCI Express) card, like an Asus nvidia 9800GT ($150 or less) is good bang for the bux.
2GB RAM is a minimum... try and get fast ram like DDR2-1066 or higher.
Windows XP... leaves more resources for your games.
500GB hard drive. Cheap. 7200.11 with 32MB cache.
Chip? Intel E8400?? Giga-byte EP45-UD3R motherboard??
Lian Lli cases are sweeeeet. Also get an Antec power supply about 430 watts or more.

Will our British HD ready TV work in Australia?
We are moving to Australia early next year and wondering whether our TV with built-in Freeview will 'retune' itself for Australian digital TV. My brother (who lives in Australia) thinks not; he says the Australian digital system is more compatible with the American system. Not so much interested in the 'HD' part of it but the digital tuning. Thanks!
It will work with an STB you can get in Australia.
I wouldn't count on being able to use the tuner in the TV, but it would be a bonus if it did work.

cant understand the BSODs… its either something simple like drivers (video card and motherboard drivers – dont forget those intel chipset drivers!), or the heat fried something else too – worst-case would be something on the mobo (which can lead to intermittent issues/BSODs.

Not GM or Goldman-Sachs. Those lying sacks of crooks.The HD® CEO didn’t try to hide anything. He basically said, “We want to concentrate on the motor, frames and paint. We can still control the core components of a Harley®, but the days of making our ancillary (small) parts are America is over.”Anyone who has handles current Harley-Davidson® trim parts, knows that they are made to USA Harley specs. in Taiwan. Taiwan can make anything you want as long as you want to pay for it.Any Harley® parts I have from Taiwan are exactly as OEM. Even the HD® 1951-1954 script and underbar are perfect duplicates. Import tank emblem screw-holes match-up exactly with the OEM emblerm tank strips.No longer stainless, they’re chrome. And THAT is the sign of the times. Some items like s/s and cadmium plating are history. Your printer minus the cable reminds me of what we are going through with our new LG washing machine. The cold water inlet hose has a small filter that has to be removed about once /month and rinsed out because we have very fine sand-like particles in our well water that can plug it up. (The manual tells you how to do it and to only replace it with an LG filter should it become damaged.) The last time my husband took it out to clean it, the little plastic handle tore loose. I called LG and spent almost half an hour on the phone trying to find out about ordering a replacement filter. They were going to “research” it and call me back. Five days later with no word from LG my husband calls and is told that they don't sell just the filter but the whole “unit' the filter goes it for $13.95 and we'd have to have someone install it. He sent off a nasty letter to LG. After about a week he heard back from them that while it was true that LG did not sell the individual filters, we could get them at Home Depot for $0.49, which is where we'd gotten the LG washer in the first place. They also said using the HD filters would not void the warranty.
Off he goes this evening to HD. About an hour later I got a call from him saying, “They (HD) doesn't know what kind of filter I'm talking about”-even though he took the manual with him. They did give him a phone number he could call to see if HD parts could help him.

I have written about this before. Doing business in this country is reaching a point of critical mass from the standpoint of the consumer. Most of the time you can purchase an item, but you need to purchase ADDITIONAL ITEMS just to make it function in the appropriate or correct manner.
Good to know that you found the links enjoyable, it would be nice if others said so too. I found both of the links very motivating and interesting. When someone is doing a good job, I believe they should be pointed out, don't you agree? My new laptop (Dell) has power-point, but I am not all that sure how to use it right now, just came in the other day and I am learning the intricacies of its innards (Vista). It so far has not allowed me to see my stat's and says I need to down load this and that, which I do, but it is not working.

It's possible that a reading device could spin the data into the cache when needed, and then rest while music is read from the non-moving part Flash portion. That's as opposed to the HD parts constantly moving.
That's my “armchair engineer” theory anyway.
[Filename}.001 means it is a part file, to extract this correctly you need all the parts.
eg. File.001, File.002, File.003...
Once File.001 is done it needs the next volume (File.002) to continue.
What this does is extract each part in order and then once it is done you should be left with a single file.
