That's too many miles….Unless you are planning on a rebuild very soon. If you can get the bike for under 5k, then buy it.
You can always put a new motor in it. Update it to 96cu motor. about 5k.
It's an evo motor so it is almost bullet proof. I would buy it if the price was right. It is probably mostly highway miles and since it is not a sport bike it more than likely was never abused. I just totaled my 04 Roadking and it was pushing 61,000 miles. I could have probably put another 61,000 miles on it without a worry. Of course the twin cams in my opinion are not as good as the Evolution motors.

it all depends on the price, if it rides out alright offer him about $2000 under book value.
he wont get any trade in from a dealer with that many miles showing.
if theres much wrong with the tranny it will drip oil where the drive belt gos in the cases or it will show up when you ride it.
make sure you test ride it or get someone familiar with harleys to test it.
if you buy it be sure to check the wheel bearings before you take it on a trip.
Harley dealerships are big on cookouts and bands here in the US too.

If the price is right, see if the owner will split the bill and take the bike to a respectable shop and have a tech go through the bike from one end to the other and do a repair sheet on the bike.
If he's willing then you will have peace of mind, if not then walk away (or run).
