How costly is it to turn a stock HD Sportster into a Bobber?
No engine mods, just the reset of the tank, straight pipes, a chopped rear fender, springer seat, forward controls, front forks and whatever mods to the fame need to be done. From a labor and parts stand point, how much could I expect to pay?
I can do some of the mods myself. Like install the rear fender, seat and forward controls but I would need someone to set the tank down on the frame, modify the frame if it needs to be and install the front forks and move the brakes headlight tire etc.

The kits with all the parts you will need are about $5,000 if you are looking at a place like Bitter End Choppers.

We're at $1.30 per litre. After working it out at 3.785 per gallon and adjusting for currency, we are EXACTLY at $5.00 per U.S. gallon. You, my friend have a bargain.
At current price levels, in Ontario our tax on gasoline is about 30%. It varies, depending on the market gas price, because some taxes are fixed cents per litre, while others are a %.
