Can anyone tell me some movies with charecters riding Harley Davidson motorcycles?
The bikes for the film Easy Rider were based on hardtail frames and Panhead engines, were designed and built by African American chopper builders Cliff Vaughs and Ben Hardy, following ideas of Peter Fonda, and handled by Tex Hall and Dan Haggerty later during shooting. Just a little trivia for you, not many people know that the Choppers for this film were built by African Americans. Easy Rider magazine would not show their picture in their magazine neither.

Why are Harley Davidson motorcycles so expecive?
I like HD motorcycles but they are so outrageously expencive. Some people say because they are made in the USA and since the labour costs here are much higher then abroad the company has to offer their products with a higher price tag. That is not necessarily true though since a lot of the parts are not even American and are just asembled here. So... what's the deal - why the price of a Harley is equal or even higher in many cases than the price of a car?!?
Effective Marketing and Strategic Management!- definately NOT worth the price, but the commmand a vast harley cult that is brainwashed into not only paying the price of a vacation home for a bike, but spending hard earned cash on all the "offical licensed" junk made in CHina! Harley played out a gamble in creating demand by putting buyers on a "waiting list"... the gamble paid off and demand went up. So you could say the price is so high thanks to the invisible hand.

It would be wrong of me not to mention that Mr. Reeves is by all reports a really terrific guy. He gives a lot of money to charity and he even gave his 12 stuntmen Harley-Davidson motorcycles as gifts. He strikes me as a very cool person. And, truth be told, I do enjoy his movies, even if he's not going to win any Oscars for his performances.

Well said that man.I agree with David’s comments completely. I have had three Harley Davidson motorcycles, and thought they were great until I rode a BMW K1000RS which I hired to tour Europe on nine years ago. Eleven countries in six weeks and over three thousand miles convinced me how underpowered, overweight, and downright uncomfortable my Harley was. Especially on European roads which are narrower, and they actually have bends in them. I now ride a BMW ( Surprise surprise ) and love every mile I’m in the saddle. It handles beautifully, and has almost twice the power of my old Harley. The finish, suspension, and brakes are also far superior. At a similar price to a Harley, I’m getting European engineering ( Not third world ) and finish which Harley Davidson or as I call them – “Hardly Movingson” just cannot deliver.No more false ticky tacky bling, all show and no go for me. I’m now riding a real motorcycle. To all you Harley riders out there – My advice to you is to at least ride a foreign bike and see what you have been missing.

It would be wrong of me not to mention that Mr. Reeves is by all reports a really terrific guy. He gives a lot of money to charity and he even gave his 12 stuntmen Harley-Davidson motorcycles as gifts. He strikes me as a very cool person. And, truth be told, I do enjoy his movies, even if he's not going to win any Oscars for his performances.

The needless booming is ridiculous. The booming effects people on so many levels and it's usually not positive, especially if it is forced upon us. There's a place for that kind of loudness; like in the clubs or large designated areas for such noise, but to have to hear it in neighborhoods or apartment areas etc. it is absurd and should be against the law and as citizens we should be allowed to make a citizens arrest on folk who boom their speakers of which are really screaming that they are lifeless, womenless, worthless losers who want to disrespect the world in compensation for their plight due to their own laziness. What baffles me further is how often it's usually silly white men who are trying to be down with ethnic folk by playing their bass so loud when we all really know that they would be somebody's girl in the ghetto or in prison taking it up the booty and quite possibly being turned out in the process. I'm so glad I have found other people who also realize the how stupid these people are and are encouraging a stop to the wannabe gangsta generation of posers and never gonnabees. I could go on and on but I'm definately desiring and am willing to do whatever is necessary o put a stop to the needless noise and booming coming out of people's vehicles & yes that includes that of some of those loud harley davidson motorcycles and the like. What a warped way to show machismo these days. These people don't want to show how tough they are through hard work and focus but would rahter show it through laziness and loud noise. Count me in on the anti-noise, anti-boom, anti-punk wimp movement too. Lets do this thing and shut them sorry excuses for life down.
