I want to know if the air filter for a 2003 Harley Davidson 883 Hugger should have oil in it?
I looked at the air cleaner and it is soaked with oil. I know other motorcycles do that but I didn't know some Harley Models do?
Is it the stock air filter or the screaming eagle? There is no getting around blowby. If you over fill your oil tank you will get oil in the filter. If the bike sits around for awhile and you don not run it you will get blow by. I would start by cleaning it out then go for a nice long ride and dont be afraid to open her up on a back road. Its just one of those things. I do find it more common in bikes that are not run on a daily basis though.
