That being said, if you want something different, there's the price to pay. I ride a Ducati in my rural part of the world, which is most certainly "Harley Country." Guzzis are great bikes. Go with your gut and the one that you not only want to ride, but feels like part of you.
only on some of the 883s or 1200s does it have that in the chrome airbox cover

If I rode an 883, I'd remove it… I removed the 1200 from mine… it's nobodies business but mine. and if all i could afford was an 883, i'd rather not advertise that its only an 883… though an 883 is still a great entry level bike, just as good as or better than any comparable jappy crap cruiser
moto guzzi V7 (750) cheaper, better built, faster, corners, stainless wheels, style in spades, really easy ride, sounds great, not the usual rat pack bike, only problem people talk to you when parked make time for longer journeys!
saying that, I like the look and sound of Harleys – Evel's was OK, but I'd never fork out for one unless it was Lucifer's hammer
