Funeral poem for my harley loving dad?
My dad just passed away and the funeral is tomorrow. I would really like to read something but I can't write anything myself. I would like to find a poem that isn't so sappy, everything I've found would never suit my dad. He was a total comedian, he was really in to harley davidsons and jack daniels. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!
My Harley loving dad, hilarious and cool, liked to be a jokester and made all the girls drool. I wish he was still with us, that I can't deny. Why did god have to decide that he had to die?

A wonderful fun loving man and a kind man at heart
Did I forget to mention he liked to joke when he'd fart?
My dad, I wish that he was still with us.
He was always there when you were down and when you had to frown. He'd tell a joke and make ya laugh. He'd take you on his motorcyle and show ya what he can do!
We rode many miles together on our Harleys. My Dad bought Tank's Harley 5 or 6 years ago and has been from California to Washington DC on it. I know that that machine was Tank's joy for what little while he had it.
Tank will always be with us on our journeys on 2 wheels . He was a great friend to have and will be missed greatly.

Mac, I'm thinking of a lot of things for 2009. I too am one of those fed up with the status quo of the gangsters in office doing with us as they will. As the newly elected Executive Director of BikePAC of Oregon I have a few of my own resolutions to work on.
1. Completely revamp and redo the May Motorcycle Awareness Rally at the Capitol, turning it into a full event with Ride In, Music, speakers and a poker run.
2. Get the riding public of Oregon involved in what is happening to them legislatively. Make them aware, and hopefully care.
3. Ride more, ride farther, ride harder.
4. Strip and repaint the Harley
5. Work with as many of the MC's and other motorcycle organizations in Oregon to get us all on the same legislative page and working towards common goals.
The list could go on forever Mac, but, thats my short list for now
Oh yea, one other thing, Black Monday, January 12th this year. Black Monday so named because it is opening day of the new legislature, and, we would like to see as many BLACK leather clad motorcyclists there as possible to meet and greet the new legislative session and discuss with them motorcycle related issues. I'll be meeting those that show up at 9am on the Capitol steps. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to see you there as well.
