Question for Harley techs only 1999 ROAD KING twin cam 88 to 95ci?
Hey fellow sled riders my baby is sick I own a 1999 FLHPI 88 twin cam upgraded to 95ci shes never been touched by anyone other than a harley tech, but now I have moved to a little town w/no tech available, this is the first time she's ever given me any trouble in 11 years, i first noticed her feeling like she was kicking back when starting, thought my battery was just low because i don't ride her much, but just tried to start her and she started but seemed be running on one cylinder she idles just barley and not for long coughs sputters and dies, like one cylinder not firing, i am very mechanical was a car tech for 20 years so i can do anything myself, can't bear to let some hack take a stab at repairs!!! can someone with H.D. experience tell me where to start with diagnostics, I.E. spark ck / coil check are there two? Help please this is my baby and my only reason for living and not whacking every jackace on this planet.
Throw in a new set of plugs and start from there.
One of the plugs may be carboned up from slight flooding if you have not ridden it much latley.
Especially if it ran well when parked, it should run just fine now with a set of plugs.
