Harley Davidson - Fat Boy
What models are interchangeable with 95 harley fatboy parts?
I have a 95 harley fat boy. I would like to change some of the parts like seats and mufflers. I would like to know if parts from a softail are interchangeable and what years? Thank you.
The Fatboy is a Softail. All Softail seats from 84-99 will interchange. As far as the mufflers go, it depends on what exhaust you have on the bike now, is it the stock header pipes with slip-on mufflers or an aftermarket exhaust? The Fatboys used "shotgun" style exhaust, most slip-on mufflers will fit the Fatboy, if you are wanting to change the entire exhaust to a standard style softail, you will need the frame mounted exhaust bracket from a standard style.
For the most part, since the Fatboy IS a Softail, MOST 84-99 parts are interchangebale, you will just need the corresponding parts and mounting hardware, etc.
Considering I have a 2000 Fatboy softail with over 207000 miles on it and it is still going strong, me thinks Harley will be around for awhile. I commute 110 miles every day to work on the bike saving much time on the 210 freeway in LA.
Considering I have a 2000 Fatboy softail with over 207000 miles on it and it is still going strong, me thinks Harley will be around for awhile. I commute 110 miles every day to work on the bike saving much time on the 210 freeway in LA.
