    "Doesn't Harley make a street bike?" asks the wife as she looks over my shoulder.

    Neither is a good choice.
    Both are large and heavy.
    You shouldn't carry passengers for the first year, at least.
    You are responsible for their safety and must be able to ride well.
    2-up is different from solo, you must have developed the ability to compensate.

    I'd have you start with looking into the license first, bike after.
    If you've got the license already, the best I can recommend is you go out and find what really fits you.
    It won't be either of those.
    If you don't have the license, take the basic course.

    I learned without the course and carried passengers too early.
    As a result, it took me a lot longer to get it right.
    At least I was smart enough to stay away from "bigger is better".
