super CUSTOM EXHAUST?
I'm doing a custom exhaust on my 1980 Olds with a Chevy 350. I know back pressure has alot to do with horsepower, so this is what im doing..... I have new headers from Summit, along with 104 inchs of 2 and 1/2 inch pipe to run straight tru dual, 2- 28inch thrush glass packs and 2- 12 inch summit exhaust tips. On top of that I have a flamethrower kit that i'll be adding, i'll tack the sparkplugs in the pipe as I go. The exhaust in all is 144 inchs, but i took it down to 104 inchs because of the tips and packs. NOW the question: where should i place the glass packs at? Add any other helpful suggestions, don't be cheap let me know!
any place that they will fit between the motor and in front of the rear wheels that they won't come in contact with the car body.

1973 Dodge 350 Custom Camper Special Super, with 390, automatic, wont start?
background info: been sitting for 5 yrs in a barn, started infrequently. runs great once started.
problem:
It starts fine when its cold, pump it a few times and it starts right up. After it has been driven for a while, if you shut it off, it will NOT start. The only way you can start it is to pour gas in the carb, then it will fire up.
Please offer mechanical correction suggestions.
My first guess is:
float sticking or bad accelerator pump?

When I say it drives fine once running, I mean we drove it 140 miles w/ NO problems....just after we shut it off to get gas, it wouldnt start. It was then that we found that we had to pour gas in the carb.
It does have a 12 ft camper on it, I will verify the make of it and post some photos with a link to them tomorrow.
Also...it has a manual choke and it doesnt seem to help.
put a manual choke on it- itll start as well as priming it. also , chec the vacuum with a vacuum gauge- weak vacuum will cause those symptoms. a bad accelerator pump will cause a noticeable flat spot during acceleration.

Never buy a retail PC. IF you are a computer enthusiast. There is really no point when you can make one better for much less. I was in Circuit City just the other day and they are still trying to sell Vista desktops with 2 GB of memory and a weak dual core for 800+
